Get Involved

Southwest Garden is what its neighbors make it. There are many ways to pitch in, whether you have an hour a year or want to help lead. Here's how to get started.

Become a Member

Membership is open to all residents, property owners, and businesses in Southwest Garden. Annual dues:

  • Family: $20

  • Business: $25

  • Individual: $10

  • Senior: $6

Dues fund community improvements and events. Members get invitations to special events and voting rights at general meetings (two votes per family; one per individual or business). Join at any quarterly meeting, pay online via PayPal, or send dues by mail — email info@southwestgardenstl.org for the PayPal link or PO Box address.

Attend a Meeting

Our general membership meetings are open to everyone. Come share ideas, raise concerns, and meet your neighbors. We meet at 7:00 PM on the fourth Monday of January, April, July, and October at the St. Louis Activity Center, 5602 Arsenal Street — upcoming dates are on the News & Events page.

Volunteer With Us

Beautification is our specialty. Volunteers keep the entrance signs, garden beds, and shared spaces looking their best, and every fourth Sunday we join the Neighborhood Foresters for a morning tree blitz — coffee and donuts at the St. Louis Activity Center, then pruning, mulching, and cleanup. Training, tools, and safety gear are provided. Favorite ways to help:

  • Garden-bed planting and upkeep

  • Monthly tree blitz (fourth Sundays)

  • Entrance-sign revitalization

  • Litter and limb cleanup

Before your first workday, please fill out the quick volunteer waiver, then email info@southwestgardenstl.org and we’ll get you plugged in.
